Treat Yourself to Fresh Flowers

If you are looking for ways to add a sense of elegance and style to your home, and do it very inexpensively, fresh flowers are the perfect solution. You can buy a bouquet for under $10 and have plenty of decorating fodder to work with, whether you want to dress up your discount bedroom furniture or make your dining room sparkle. These fresh blooms make much more of an impact on your home than they do on your budget. The best part about flowers is that they can be used in elaborate displays or single blossom glasses with equally stunning results.

You can use virtually anything that will hold water for a vase. If you have big blooms, like peonies, cut off the heads and float them in water for a terrific centerpiece. For a very bright, sensuous look, slice up several limes and lemons and put them in the bottom of your glass jar. Put flowers in for the quintessential, fresh summer look. While flowers do suggest spring and summer, they are also great for winter. Opt for white blooms with dark greenery, like a magnolia or a confederate jasmine. These give you that classy winter white look without the icy chill! You will be amazed at the difference a few dollars and a few blossoms can make.
